01 · Eligible situations
When a refund may be available.
- The same contribution was charged more than once.
- The charge was unauthorised or the payment method was used without permission.
- A technical error charged an amount different from the amount approved.
- A project is cancelled or cannot proceed and the contribution has not been applied.
- A project purpose changes materially and the unused contribution cannot be used as originally described.
- Ghanaian law otherwise requires a refund.
02 · Timing
Contact us promptly with the reference.
Send a request as soon as possible and preferably within seven days of the charge, especially before project funds are committed. Report an unauthorised charge immediately to both OneCedi and the payment provider or issuing bank.
Email disputes@onecedis.com with the transaction reference, date, amount and reason. You may include the last four digits of the registered phone number, but never send a card PIN, Mobile Money PIN, CVV or one-time payment approval code.
03 · Review and return
Approved refunds return to the original payment method.
We check the provider record and the relevant project account. Approved refunds are submitted to the original card or Mobile Money method. OneCedi does not charge a fee to request or receive an approved refund.
After submission, most refunds should appear within approximately five to ten business days, but the final timing depends on the payment provider, mobile-money operator or issuing bank. We will share a refund reference when available.
04 · Applied contributions
Completed impact cannot always be reversed.
A contribution is generally not refundable after it has been fully and irreversibly applied to the selected project, supplies or completed handoff, except where law requires otherwise or the payment was unauthorised. This does not limit a user's right to report fraud, duplicate charging or a serious misrepresentation.
05 · Recurring giving
Cancellation stops future charges.
To cancel a recurring plan, contact support@onecedis.com before the next billing date and include the registered number or a previous transaction reference. Cancellation does not automatically reverse a payment that has already completed. A completed charge is reviewed under the rules above.
06 · How an approved refund is returned
Refunds return through the available payment route.
When a refund is approved, OneCedi or the payment provider will return it to the original payment method where possible. Processing time depends on the Mobile Money operator, card network or bank. OneCedi will not ask for a payment PIN, CVV or one-time approval code to process a refund.
